I’m Ian - a photographer based in Chelmsford, Essex with a passion that’s been burning since the 1980s. I began my journey with film, embraced the digital age, and now find myself drawn back to film for its distinctive aesthetic and the tactile satisfaction that digital simply can’t replicate. There’s something evocative about 35mm—the imperfections, the grain, the nostalgia it conjures, even for those unfamiliar with its heyday. And that sweet anticipation of waiting to see the results? It’s a thrill digital can’t quite match.
