OLIVIER BARON

OLIVIER BARON, Jazz flugelhorn and trumpet player, originally comes from Marseille, France. He began to perform Jazz in public at age 13. Since then, he has performed in many venues in France, also performed in Japan in 2008. Now he’s located in Taiwan since 2009. He won an award for best musician in the 2019 Taiwan Golden Indie Music Awards.

His quintet “Five Jazz Men” play Bebop, Blues and other selected jazz songs of beautiful harmonies and melodies.

Olivier is inspired from Miles Davis, Chet Baker, Tom Harrell, Paolo Fresu; considers good jazz improvisation is to have good sounds and to play harmonically with accurate elegant melodies.
